Kathmandu, Feb 9:
The Nepal Tourism Board (NTB) has honoured ultra runner and mountaineer Sanjay Pandit amid a programme organized at NTB in the Capital city today. 
 
Mountaineer Pandit, who recently scaled Antarctica's highest peak Mount Vinson Massif (4,897 metres), was awarded with Rs 275,000 in recognition of achieving remarkable feat of ascending the highest mountains in all the seven continents. 
 
NTB Chief Executive Officer Deepak Raj Joshi and NTB Board of Director Krishna Aryal handed over the honour certificate and a bank cheque bearing the amount to Pandit. 
 
According to the NTB, Pandit was honoured for his contribution in introducing Nepal in the international arena through the adventurous mountaineering. 
Pandit has successfully climbed various four other mountains besides Seven Summits, each continent's highest peaks. He has also bagged a record by climbing Mt Kilimanjaro of Africa and Mt Kosciuszko of Australia backwards. RSS
